Running Supply Roundup #20
Paris Fashion Week roundup, Business of Fashion feature, and an exclusive look at new brand Currently Running
This week marked the end of the men’s side of Paris Fashion Week. A ton of preview content out for us from the likes of Satisfy,Hoka, Tiempos, Optimistic Runners, and then some.
Before we get into that…
Quick Hits
I was just published in Runner’s World! Thanks to all my friends who gave it a read.
I was interviewed in a Business of Fashion article called Running’s Big Fashion Opportunity. Thanks for the shout, Lei!
Brooks is finally diving into lifestyle after falling behind every other running brand on that front. They crush in run specialty, but don’t have shelf space at Kith. Maybe this will change.
Saucony Silo coming soon. No idea what this is, but spotted it on one of their creative director’s Instagrams.
I’m a designer and developer by trade, and finally released my Strava™ menubar app called Milebar. It’s cute! Free download codes at the bottom here.
Alex Zono (I dig running cap) is getting a collab with Soar?! Launching January 30th.
New brand alert: Women founded, Mile Off
Paris Fashion Week, Spring Summer 2025 Previews
My feed was saturated with early looks from many of the niche outdoor apparel brands, and I got some better looks at gear from Tiempos Running, Hermanos Koumori, Satisfy, and Optimistic Runners. I’m not at all surprised this happened during men’s fashion week, as even unisex clothing is most often marketed to men and the breakdown of gender for the year end survey (results soon, I promise) was heavily skewed male.
Satisfy Running
This season brings in some fresh Harley Davidson and collegiate inspired graphics. I love how Americana-themed the brand’s graphics are despite being based out of Paris. Satisfy still has not revealed their “Rocker” shoe publicly, but did make an RC car using the same Vibram sole technology. Pics below are all from Chris at
.Satisfy is on a big growth trajectory right now as they open a slew of new accounts in the United States. After TRE the brand hired a Director of US Wholesale and recently posted some regional sales rep roles on LinkedIn. Stores like Mill City have teased that they are “testing” out Satisfy gear. Expect the brand to hit a run specialty store near you.
Meanwhile, some replicas are popping up in Indonesia…
Hoka
Hoka did some retros last year of their OG Bondi, complete with Nicole McLaughlin collab. They’re bringing back the Speed Goat 2 in some punchy (but still lifestyle compatible) color.
On x PAF
Loved the apparel capsule last year and excited to see what this season brings.
Tiempos Running
Some previews from Tiempos Running posted by Chris at Runner’s Highest. Chris was able to get in the door at these places to check them out and shared them all first hand.
District Vision
Looks to add some new silhouettes and a collaboration with Post Archive Faction. PAF is really leaning into the running / gorp overlap.
Optimistic Runners
Optimistic Runners of Berlin adds to their winter collection. I’m a sucker for minimal stuff and this looks sharp.
Misc Paris Updates
Over Over puts out some really interesting materials in their jackets and shorts. Their current line has a fully embedded reflective tie dye pattern in it. Looks like their new one will have a grid ripstop with UV reactivity.
On x Post Archive Faction will have some new collab colorways.
Other Upcoming Releases
Nike Pegasus Premium comes January 30th. Expect this shoe to be popular amongst collectors since its a brand new silhouette with “new” technology, the full length air unit. Drop details here.
Currently Running
Currently Running Capsule 1 in March. Founder Nash Howe was kind enough to give the lowdown on the March 2025 launch. Price point similar to Bandit and a full women’s line this summer.
- Bottoms: 3” 5” and 7” short systems in 4 colors, 2 half tights. 3” short is unisex.
- Tops: a singlet, a tech tee and some light cotton wear. Recycled nylon jacket.
- Accessories: 4 nylon caps, in 2 styles. 1/4, ankle, socks + a merino sock.
Saysky teased their SS25 line. Visually bit of a mixed bag, but some interesting patterns including a whimsical checkered singlet.
Minted NY provides ~monthly updates on their product updates, with behind the scenes updates including a v2 of their Cold Weather Performance Jacket. I dig how they wrote off all the changes on this image in their email and outlined the why. The jacket will release alongside their new thermals on February 5th, 2025 at 11am EST.
Peaufine Athletics will have some new jackets as well as a run of lifestyle clothing.
Wyrd Running has a pre-order for these new graphic long sleeves. Looks like super lightweight 3D mesh here which can make for a good base layer or breezy long sleeve on a cool morning.
There are the highlights for the week! Enjoy the free download for Milebar as well.
