What’s New in Running Fashion
On Gets Into Trail Racing
On has been moving aggressively on all running fronts – new spikes, new uptempo trainers, “soft” shoes for the chill days, Lightspray for the elites, and now a new trail racing shoe for one of the fastest growing running divisions. A photo leaked about 7 months ago of the shoe, teasing a lugged sole and unique knit upper – which turned out to be accurate.
The Cloudlultra Pro has a dual-layer midsole of Helion HF, Speedboard rebound system, and a re-engineered Missiongrip™ outsole with a new lug profile developed using FEA (Finite Element Analysis).
The On Cloudultra Pro drops June 19th.
Tracksmith’s Prep Revival
Feels like Tracksmith is returning to their roots with their third Rowing Blazers collab and first since RB founder Jack Carlson stepped down. RB is now owned by Burch (Tory Burch). Great year for them as coincidentally prep is back for the nth time (again, like clockwork, every 5 or so years). This collab isn’t something for me, but it will appeal to the former KJP collectors, New England die hards, and former rowers who have turned to running. Personally, I wish they did a boat shoe...and I do love the “Jogger” sweater.

It feels very Boston and very Ivy League – in this case all good things. They did a good job of tying the collab to key brand elements and locations – it was all shot on the Charles, they used runners and rowers in the shoot, and the products themselves are all stuff you’d see in a boathouse or Ivy League trackhouse. In the wake of all the brands trying to be everything for everyone, I like the collabs that speak to a smaller audience. It’s far from a logo slap, actually marrying the two brands together in fit and finish.
Live now at Tracksmith, shoes live at Rowing Blazers.
Hermanos Koumori x Adidas Shoes
The cool-guy Mexico City based brand, Hermanos Koumouri, has partnered with adidas on a number of clothing capsules but will be getting their first ever shoe collab. So far seems to be these Ultraboost 5’s in subtle earth tones. These will be dropping June 17, 2025.
Looks like they’re live early at Footshop.

Recovery Slides Are Alive And Well in Norda
Norda is making recover slides cool(?). The 008 recovery slide has dual density foam for comfort and additional arch support, and sports a rugged Vibram ECOSTEP™ sole. It comes in four artisanal-candle-coded colorways: Hinoki, Oud, Sage, Névé — all scents I’d pay $80 to light up in my living room. They will be live at Norda’s site and some retailers on June 12 for $145.

Menswear darling 3sixteen Gets Active Again
Menswear brand 3sixteen, known for their hefty selvedge denim, light outerwear, and trendsetting silhouettes, are releasing their second ever activewear capsule.
and the team are all avid runners and made this more out of passion and interest than any need from a business perspective. They’re in it for the love of the game, which I’m all for. Make the stuff you want to run in! This all drops June 12th online and in store.

Pack Vest: lightweight, half-zip windbreaker ideal for running, hiking, or layering.
Pace Tee u pdated with Aqua-X technology for quick-dry, UV protection, and a featherweight feel. 3m flatlock stitch for visibility inspired by selvedge denim (nice callback to their staple)
Pace Short: running-specific short with ultra-light 40gsm nylon ripstop outer layer, half-tight liner, and thigh pockets
Near Earth taps Receipts for their first partnership
Near Earth is a trendy sock brand oft worn by the Instagram running Literati. They never go on sale, and have an unfortunately high shipping price for those of us in the USA, but are excellent socks. They’re a premium sock, and never discounted…until now?
I’m a sucker for new startups and side projects myself, and was recently in touch with the the cofounders of Receipts, a reward platform that gets you early access and discounts on top activewear brands for your training. They mentioned they added Near Earth as a partner, having heard about them through Running Supply (!), and are doing a giveaway and special discount for Receipts runners. Sign up, sync some miles, and hopefully win a bundle.
Each winner of the drop will receive a bundle of (3) pairs of the limited edition version of The Race Day Sock. Folks who check in to the drop but miss out will receive an exclusive discount on the bundle. Fingers crossed 🤞
Hoka Mafate Three2 - JP
HOKA will release a regional exclusive Mafate Three2 Grid in a Yuzu and Cardamon colorway. This is the latest in Hoka’s “retro” releases, using Hoka’s original Mafate silhouette and upper with updated materials and colors. The shoe will be available from select retailers Friday, June 12th.
Looks like they are available in the Cardamom colorway already at Above The Clouds Store.
Some other things that piqued my interest:
Valentin’s customized SATISFY vest by tattoo artist Clement Baptiste

Participation Co. is always doing cool stuff. Sample Butterfly wing print singlet here.
Shout out Norda for shooting the slides with a big fat selvedge cuff
Another great roundup Cole! The brand collab space is busy and getting busier every year, which is a good thing for everyone involved, I believe. (Not that all of them make sense!) The bigger brands especially were so closed off for so many years. (And thanks for the shoutout!)
