Running Supply Roundup #42
Fashion Week is the new Fashion Week, 3sixteen ready-to-dye shoes, Oakley x SATISFY returns, Goldwin 0's performance line, Brooks runs GRVL
Fashion week is upon us. This year I’ve seen far more showrooms advertised by running brands than in previous years. Excited to see some of the sneak peeks for 2026 gear.
Quick Hits
Bandit’s “The Program” is starting up again. They sponsor a 16-week Fall marathon “training experience” with ASICS. Discounts, free kit, and a ton of other training resources. Really like their photo graphics they used.
The next great long sprint sensation: Natalie Dumas won the 800 (2:00:11), 400 (51:15), and 400h (55:95) at New Balance Nationals Outdoor. She broke (NJ state all-time) records held by Ajee Wilson in the 800 and Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone in the 400. Sheesh!
You aren’t old yet! Azeddine Habz (adidas) just ran 3:27 at the Paris Diamond League meet causing some eyebrows to raise. The track is super fast and the spikes are getting better…but….
Faith Kipyegon’s Breakin4 attempt is June 26th! Her full capsule released on Nike, and you can watch the series on Amazon Prime for free.

Fashion Week is the new Fashion Week
Enough of the whole marathons are the new fashion week, running is the new streetwear, etc. These are just inflammatory headlines that plenty of people have talked about at this point and just signal another big athleisure trend around running (rather than yoga, or being outdoors).
What’s catching my attention is that in the past 5 or so years there are more running and activewear brands setting up showrooms for Milan and Paris Fashion Week, Pitti Uomo, and NYFW.
Some notable brands:
Houdini, Home Run x Mental Athletic x Nike, Salomon, Oakley, SATISFY, SOAR, On, Literary Sport, Nnormal, Minor Planet, Rayon Vert, Hoka, RC Outdoor Supply, Distance Athletics x Strava, ROA, Optimistic Runners x H.Koumori, Saucony, asics

New and Upcoming Releases
Oakley x SATISFY
Oakley does a yearly collab with SATISFY usually around June. This year it’s coming alongside alongside a slew of Oakley announcements ahead of PFW (Travis Scott was named Chief Visionary) and SATISFY’s 10 year anniversary. For this collab they’re re-issuing the previous Eye Jacket and Plantaris as well as 2 MothTech™ tees, including a long sleeve.
Coming this Friday, June 27 at SATISFY and Oakley.

3sixteen x Saucony Part II
Coming soon from 3sixteen x Saucony, is the Peregrine 15 “Gesso.” Gesso, for the more casual art enjoyer, is a white paint mixture used to prime a surface like wood paneling or canvas. 3sixteen is asking us to put our own spin on the shoe. Based on instagram it looks like they will be doing an activation involving plant-based indigo type dye to color the Gesso canvas.
For anyone that hasn’t tried it, the Peregrine is a great trail shoe, especially if you love the Kinvara. Neutral, solid cushion, hefty lug.
I’m loving the dip dye trend for shoes, which I covered a bit when talking about the customs done with the ready-to-dye adidas Evo SL with JW Studios and Phileo. Recently a Redditor made their very own in purple. Love the personal touches people are adding to their gear! You can dye your own following these RIT instructions.
Goldwin 0 - Performance Capsule

June 27th Goldwin, a Japanese outdoor brand, launches their new performance capsule. Goldwin is led by design director Nur Abbas, the creator of sensational outdoor brand Gnuhr. The project claims, “each garment is a product of continual refinement through design and experiment, with concepts and archetypes developed across seasons using carefully selected performance materials and cutting-edge technology.”
Having seen what Abbas has done with Gnuhr, I’m excited to see what he can do directing the already-cutting-edge Goldwin brand in a more performance oriented way (read, less lifestyle, more trail running). They’re integrating Pertex Equilibrium in their bottoms and outerwear, GORE-TEX in a field shell, and single panel construction throughout for super light, minimal finish. They integrated a print for the first time ever, carrying a circular scalloped motif throughout the line—looking similar to some of the early Gyakusou line.

Brooks Enters the Gravel Racing Chat
After a number of trail racing shoes emerge just in time for Western States 100 and UTMB, Brooks has added their Hyperion Elite GRVL to the mix. Gravel is an interesting new addition to the trail mix. I’ve been cycling a fair amount lately while nursing a knee injury, and on that front there’s mountain biking, road cycling, and a newly (last 7+ years) booming gravel riding trend. For running, this seems to mean shorter, tow-path style running on dirt roads rather than rugged, scrambly trails.
If this takes off like it has in cycling, and thats a big if, I’m excited to see if gravel shoes shift between more trail vs road shoe features. In gravel racing, bike technology matters far more, so I suspect we won’t see the same level of innovation.
Revolutionary Knits from Rayon Vert
Rayon Vert is an experimental outdoor brand and consulting agency. They have a very Web 2.0 geocities esque site, made some super slick shades, created an outdoors label archive, and this funky pack dubbed the Lizard Backpack.
They are presenting their label book and a new Stargate Fleece at their PFW exhibition.
As part of this journey, we’ve developed the Stargate Fleece, a super lightweight hoodie made with a highly breathable, sweat-wicking knit. It’s crafted using High Quality 66 Nylon made in Italy just about 20km from where the Stargate is finished. After being knitted on circular seamless machines, the fabric is heat-expanded to create a high-performance texture and finish.
The trend of seamless circular knits continues – Gnuhr, Rapha, ByBorre, Attaquer have all produced garments using a seamless knit. IT hasn’t made its way over to running really yet.
That’s my hand with that Brooks GRVL sample lol. Here’s the full video I took that shows the outsole for those interested: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DLIqFWUSGkR/?igsh=OGl3N2doZ3FxbzI=
Lots of good stuff!
