Holiday season is in full swing, so expect to see plenty of gift guides. The Black Friday sale I put together still holds up pretty well.
Quick hits from the BU Indoor Meet
Graham Blanks ran 12:59 and is the 6th American ever to break 13:000. He has forgone his NCAA eligibility to take his talents to New Balance Boston. He will still be ripping 6:00 miles for Coach Alex Gibby.
Ethan Strand is the fastest American 3000 meter runner with a blazing 7:30. #4 All-time American.

Here’s what’s going on this week
Renowned store, Dover Street Market is launching a special On Cloudboom Zone sneaker. It’s been wild seeing running take off in the capital F Fashion world here. Normally I’m writing about DSM for my full-time job over at Sole Retriever regarding the latest Nike or adidas drops.
The On Cloudboom Zone is a lightweight flat for track work, so they’re really doing the thing! This is not a lifestyle shoe. They even brought in UK 1500m Champ Revée Walcott-Nolan for their campaign. Whew! Expect it to be super limited, and run you about $210.
Soar and eyewear brand Cubitts have a project coming in 2025. Stay locked for that. So far we’re seeing a lot of metal so I expect it to be more of a lifestyle piece than running eyewear. Bummer. Soar is doing some of the best technical apparel on the market so I’d expect them to make an incredible pair of sunglasses.
Hopefully you aren’t sick of the Satisfy press. They’re working with Levi’s Re/Done division on 200 pairs of climbing jeans. Not quite running jorts, but close. I’m not quite sure what to think here. On one hand, I’d love to see them co-design a pair of jeans, on the other, I don’t think I’d climb in jeans. Also the duotone isn’t doing it for me.
Distance Store Christmas Market is running Dec 7 - 21. This is so fun. They’re doing a number of events (runs of course), an Oakley launch party, a puzzle launch, and a Christmas party. This is all supported by Saucony.
Renegade is doing a awesome ying-yang approach to race support. In LA they’re doing a smaller activation for the race, since they’re new to the community there. In Oakland, they’re running the full gamut in prep for the Oakland marathon.
Hermanos Koumori x New Era are back with their second partnership. The apparel here looks pretty good and clearly influenced heavily by HK on the running side of things. It’s not lifestyle stuff, it’s all real technical gear.
