Running Supply Roundup #22
Record setting weekend in Boston, new podcast out. Stance tries their hand at running.
This past weekend were some huge indoor meets including New Balance’s Indoor Grand Prix and BU Terrier Classic. This week was lighter on new releases and news. There was a ton I covered last week in Roundup #20 including new Satisfy, Currently Running, Tiempos Running, On x PAF, and more.
Quick Hits
New Balance athletes shine: Parker Valby made her pro debut and PR’d. Heather Maclean won the mile, Noah Lyles won the 60m, and HS runner Quincy Wilson won the 400m against a pro field.
Ethan Strand of UNC set the NCAA indoor mile record in 3:48.52, more than 2 seconds faster than Cooper Teare’s record. 5th fastest American mile of all time, indoor or out.
I did a podcast with multi-hyphenate creative
of No Where Fast talking all things running. Give it a listen!ICYMI: I was just published in Runner’s World! Thanks to all my friends who gave it a read. The adidas EVO SL which I mention as being sold out, are in stock now at adidas again in three colors for men and women. The women’s version in cream is my fave.
Here’s What’s Upcoming
Just got news from SOAR that they have new ultralight sunglasses coming Feb 27 called the “Cirrus.” Pretty unusual to see running sunglasses made of metal, but this titanium pair from SOAR and Cubitts (british eyewear brand) weighs in at 10g. I think they might be the lightest running sunglasses ever? Launching online and in store Feb 27 for £250.

On will release their latest “Zero” collection with race-day kit on February 6th, including a yellow Cloudboom Strike.

The Nike Pegasus Premium dropped in stores and online Jan 30th. It’s largely sold out in the white and orange colorway, but a few stores still carry them and worth checking locally. Nike has women’s sizes up to 9.5 still available. I haven’t tried them out so unfortunately not much to say there.
There’s a black and red colorway that’s releasing March 5th. If these aren’t your speed there are pink and purple pairs coming.
I skipped this last time, but Tracksmith released their Spring 25 line. Mostly new colors of their existing stuff—they keep their product line pretty tight. They did add a few multi-purpose ahletic wear in their new “Fieldhouse” line. Similar to Saysky who added some general gymwear recently, Tracksmith is making sure it keeps runners outfitted while they do anything but run.
Stance added some running apparel. I don’t think it will do well in the run crowd, but might appeal to their current gym customers who also run. Ciele bridged the gap with caps -> apparel, but I feel like they have way more of a pedigree with running. Stance positioned themselves as athletic wear and had a big NBA presence so they don't have any brand trust to work with. The stuff is priced at a pretty accessible price (which is great!) and doesn't seem premium, so doesn’t indicate to me they’re invested yet.
Tiempos Running teased more of their Spring 2025 line on Instagram. Photo cred

Bandit Drama + Training Program
A new hire for Bandit Running was caught “bib banditing” a race. Feel like this isn’t even a hot take: that’s not banditing. They had a real bib, but it belonged to someone else and the other person isn’t trying to use that as their PR. The Bandit employee probably got a bib off a friend or bought one from someone who couldn’t use it (travel, injury, w/e). Actually hot take: they didn’t run fast enough to cause any issues in the ranks. Non story.
If you want some free coaching and a ton of other benefits, you can apply to their 2025 training program. It’s a fully coached 12 week with tons of support plus their own app?!
In Case You Missed It
Tons of spring summer previews from Paris Fashion Week in last week’s substack.
Currently Running drops their first capsule in March. Preview with most of the line available!
More Y-3 running shoe photos leaking from adidas. The Adios 9 versions are available now!
Jeff Staple x Brooks Adrenaline GTS 4 sneakers are coming in March. This is a purely lifestyle collab, but newsworthy as it’s one of Brooks’ first forays into mainstream fashion.
Saucony Silo coming soon, mostly lifestyle but there will be a Saucony Endorphin Elite 2 coming in some darker earth tones.
Had no idea about Stance! Thanks for putting me on!
this is so awesome. Now I just need to sell a kidney or so to afford all the cool stuff :)
