Quick Hits
US Indoor Champs was this past weekend. Nikki Hiltz (lululemon) and Hobbes Kessler (adidas) respctively swept the women’s and men’s 1500/3000. Josh Hoey (adidas) ran 1:43.24 for #2 all time indoors and an American Record.
Bunch of new apparel and sneaker releases coming on Wednesday, February 27th
Zachary Litoff did some cool branding work for Nike and Mill City Running for the Icebreaker Indoor race in Minnesota coming up in March. Check out his creative process breakdown below. Worth a follow!
A Brief Aside
The weekly roundups are my bread and butter, but I'd love to dive deeper on some topics.
In Case You Missed It
Last week we had a whole new brand pop up, Act Running. Their focus is on making environmentally friendly performance wear. Diadora released an updated uptempo trainer Frequenza 2, which is about 40% lighter than the previous version. Norda 001 and 002 just released in all new colorways. Nnormal Tomir 02 was released in some fresh spring colorways. The On Cloudsurfer 2 made some updates to their trainer for a firmer, supportive ride. See everything that happened last week here.
Recent Releases
The Hoka Mafate Speed 4 Lite (formerly just a SATISFY collab) released online and in-store at many retailers last week.

SATISFY added a Space-O material running belt to their product offering. Space-O is super light weight (45 grams) and stretchy, and the belt is made for racing with 4 pockets and a bib attachment system.
Optimistic Runners released their Spring Summer 2025 line. Highlights are these glossy ripstop shorts, especially the grey ones. Can’t speak yet to the quality, but the minimal modern design already caught my eye.
District Vision released their 2025 line of sunglasses, including a couple new models. While their Junya Racer and Koharu are the flagship, they now have a larger shield silhouette, the Yusuke Alpine Blade, and 4 more lifestyle silhouettes, the Takeyoshi Altitude Master, Keita Summit, Keiichi Standard, and Linto Rider.

It also seems like they’ll have a new collab with New Balance on the Trail Minumus based on some of District Vision’s model photos (unconfirmed) coming at some point.

Tracksmith also released some new spring colorways of the Eliot Runner.
Upcoming Releases
SOAR x Cubitts are releasing their sunglasses collab on Thursday. They’re all of 10 grams made of just titanium and glass. Incredible engineering.
Portal Running is launching their apparel this week on Wednesday, Feb 26 at 10 am GMT (5 am EST). Check their site and IG for updates! From what I have heard (source: Victor at top tier store Renegade Running), Portal looks and feels great. We’ll find out soon!
If you’re still waiting for Currently Running, that collection is coming some time in March. I’ve already shared a preview of the upcoming “Mile 1” capsule. You can follow updates and more on the IG.
The INVINCIBLE x On Cloudmonster 2 will release on Tuesday, February 25. These will be pretty limited availability. INVINCIBLE is a South Korean streetwear store that’s done collabs before with The North Face and New Balance. On is going all in on their niche collabs this year. This is coming off the recent Kith for On Cloudzone.
Saysky is releasing their Spring/Summer 2025 “Checkmate” collection on February 27. This one features some of their more whimsical apparel with a checkered and hand-drawn motif. They have several more releases over the spring so stay tuned.
Adidas is releasing a Berlin Marathon version of their Adios Pro in a white and black colorway on February 27th. The Berlin Marathon isn’t until September 21, so a bit early maybe?

Nike’s Vomero 18 will release in a bunch of colorways on February 27 as well.

I LOVED your technical deep dive into polartec alpha and wonder if there's other materials that you could highlight across brands? Thanks!
